Motor wiring, Series4958 viewsAfter discussing things with several people, I decided to wire the motors in series.
This is because I have a fairly hi voltage page, and should be able to get enough RPM's even with the motors in series.
Also gives much better torque.

Control Wring (part 2)3920 viewsThis is what's under the top board of the control wiring. This is where most of the big parts are located.
PFC-50 plugs, DC-DC converters, fuses for pack voltage accessories, etc...

Control Wiring3523 viewsThis is the main control wiring for the EV conversion. It has the Z2K Hairball, and all the various relays, meters, fuses, etc..
The 2 meters are AC Amps and Volts for the PFC-50 charger.

Motor wiring, parallel3153 viewsThis shows how I originally wired the 2 motors in parallel to the Z2K controller.May 15, 2009
Central Wiring area3981 viewsThis is where most of the control wiring will be.
It's not done yet in this photo.
The meters are the AC Amps and Volts for the PFV-50 input.

Mechanical link between Breakers3582 viewsThis shows how I made it so that only 1 of the 2 power inlet breakers can be ON at a time.
Both can be off, but only 1 can be ON.

Pack Voltage System Schematic5715 viewsThis is the schematic for the Hi Voltage DC System.
It includes everything that connects to the pack.
I've left out a few of the hairball connections (like tach and tach sensor) that don't connect to anything else.

AC Power Schematic3448 viewsThis is the schematic for the AC inlet power.
There are both 120V (standard 20A plug) and 240V (CS6375) AC power inlets.
Each has a separate breaker, and only 1 breaker can be ON at a time due to a mechanical interlock.

RPM sensor4525 viewsThis shows how I mounted the Z2K RPM sensor to the tailshaft of the motor.Apr 09, 2009
Blower Mounted2675 viewsAt the back left you can see where the Blower has been mounted. It blows down into the box I built, and there is a 3" flex tube running to the shroud on each motor.Apr 09, 2009
