Ceramic Heater5831 viewsThis is a 1500W Ceramic Heater mounted where the old Heater core was.
I kept the original overheat switch from the ceramic heater, and added another (at the top) just to be paranoid.
Since I'll be powering it from a 288V pack, I only need to use the center and outer connectors to the core.

Old Heater Core5192 viewsI was really surprised at how easy it was to get the old heater core out of the truck.
Just pop out the glovebox, and remove the panel behind it.
That uncovers the core.

Motor wiring, Series5118 viewsAfter discussing things with several people, I decided to wire the motors in series.
This is because I have a fairly hi voltage page, and should be able to get enough RPM's even with the motors in series.
Also gives much better torque.

Control Wring (part 2)4075 viewsThis is what's under the top board of the control wiring. This is where most of the big parts are located.
PFC-50 plugs, DC-DC converters, fuses for pack voltage accessories, etc...

Control Wiring3690 viewsThis is the main control wiring for the EV conversion. It has the Z2K Hairball, and all the various relays, meters, fuses, etc..
The 2 meters are AC Amps and Volts for the PFC-50 charger.

120V, 20A charge port3854 viewsAs you can see, it has the sideways prong to only allow a 20A rated cord to plug into it.
I'll carry an adapter for those times I need to plug into a 15A or less outlet.

Charge Port Door switch5534 viewsThis shows how I mounted a switch on each of the charge port doors. (used to be gas tank doors!)
This switch will tell the Z2K controller if either of the charge port doors is open, and if so, it won't let the truck "start".
Really helpful to prevent driving off with the cord still plugged in.

PFC mount4706 viewsThis shows how the PFC 50 charger is mounted under the hood.
It's at an angle so that I can easily reach the controls.
The 2 meters in the wiring station are a 50A AC Ammeter, and a 300V AC Voltmeter. Useful for adjusting the charger for whatever I happen to be plugged in to.

Breaker Box w/mechanical interlock6265 viewsThis is the breaker box that is mounted on the truck. It has a 240V, 50A GFCI breaker, and a 20A 120V (dual) breaker.
Each breaker enables one of the charge ports. Only 1 can be "on" at a time due to the rather simple mechanical interlock.

Motors Wired4246 viewsI wired the motors to the Z2K using 4/0 cable.
Notice that I don't like exposed High Voltage connections. Couldn't do much about the 1000A shunt though.
