Boring the hole in the motor coupler2279 viewsHere we are boring the hole for the motor shaft. 1/2 the hole has to be a larger diameter since it's coupling a tail shaft to a main shaft.

Coupler almost off3019 viewsThis is the coupler when it's just about cut off.
We would cut down to the keyway in the coupler, then we could pry it open just enough to tap it off the shaft.

PFC-50 location5051 viewsEven with the huge engine compartment that used to hold a 460cui engine, I'm having trouble cramming everything in.
A PFC-50 charger is BIG, and while there is lots of free space, none of it is the right shape for the charger, or there are other things that will be there.
So, it looks like I'll be mounting the charger at the back of the engine bay, behind the battery box, but tilted up so that I can still reach the controls on it.

120V, 20A charge port3539 viewsAs you can see, it has the sideways prong to only allow a 20A rated cord to plug into it.
I'll carry an adapter for those times I need to plug into a 15A or less outlet.

Breaker Boxes4106 viewsThe black box on the left has 3 Airpax 250A DC breakers. These will have a bar bolted to their handles so they all switch together.
The other box has the 2 breakers for the charging system.

Cables into bed6092 viewsThis shows how I mounted and protected the cables that run from the front of the truck into the bed.
All under-truck cables are in some kind of conduit, or have a shield between them and the ground.

Rear Battery box in truck5619 viewsThis is the rear Battery Box that will hold 42 Golf Cart batteries in the bed of the truck.
(Someday when hitech batteries are reasonably priced, I'll remove this and mount the pack under the bed.)
