In order to get everything lined up with the transmission shaft properly, we built an alignment tool.
It fit snugly into the hole in the bell housing where the transmission mounts, and was the same diameter as the centering ring on the motor.

Battery Box Mount3362 viewsThere are 2 5/8" bolts at the back of the box to hold the box down to the bed. To keep these from pulling through the wood/fiberglass box, I put a long 1/4" thick steel plate behind each bolt.

I kept the original overheat switch from the ceramic heater, and added another (at the top) just to be paranoid.
Since I'll be powering it from a 288V pack, I only need to use the center and outer connectors to the core.
